Wordnest ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Account information: If you sign in with Apple, Google, or Email, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided) via Firebase Authentication. Guest accounts are anonymous.
Game data: Your scores, statistics, saved vocabulary, settings, and in-game currency (eggs) are stored locally on your device using browser local storage.
Daily puzzle scores: When you complete the Daily Puzzle, your score is submitted to a global leaderboard stored in Google Firestore. This includes your user ID and score. No personal information (name, email) is included in leaderboard data.
Word suggestions: If you submit a word suggestion, the word and your user ID are stored in Google Firestore so we can review and improve the dictionary. No personal information is attached to suggestions.
Purchase data: If you make in-app purchases, RevenueCat processes the transaction. We receive subscription status and entitlement information but not your payment details.
Advertising data: Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, AdMob may use your IDFA for personalised ads. You can decline without affecting gameplay.
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Account data is retained in Firebase for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the App, which removes your data from Firebase. Local game data is stored on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the App.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the App's Account screen. For other data requests, please contact us at the email below.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect changes.
